The fine dust filter: Textoma

When the outdoor air quality is bad, the filter is mounted to ublo. Fine dust is filtered out to take in fresh air.

However, when a fine dust filter is installed, both the opening ratio and the ventilation rate will reduce.

In KICT(Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology) the amount of ventilation of each filter was tested and measured to see the differences in ventilation performance. Using high-performance fine dust filters reduces ventilation by half.

Can UBLO be a part of wall structure instead of a window-system?

Technically, UBLO can be modified as a part of wall structure. According to the needs from our potential-customers, Ublo Inc.
is willing to develop the wall-structure-related design.

Is it possible to make the size of UBLO’s diameter larger than 180mm?

Yes, the circle opening could be various size and customized. Only the diameter 180mm of UBLO is optimized in terms ofsafety and the ventilation and standardized as a mass-produced product.

Could UBLO have its own natural ventilation system in future?

Yes, Ublo Inc. is gradually developing from the IAQ sensor to entilation system. Currently UBLO has the dust filter collecting
fine dust with static electricity

How about the air-change-related performance of UBLO?

In part of joint research with Yonsei University, UBLO has achieved highest air change per hour comparing to the other types of window systems within the same opening areas since it is based on buoyancy ventilation.

Will UBLO with polycarbonate discolor after a certain period of years?

UBLO is made of Polycarbonate with additional agent to reduce sensitivity to UV (LG LUPOY 1303). Like other plastics, some yellowing might appear after several years of exposition to direct sun radiation. However, it does not affect main resistance as
a window component.

Can UBLO be in other materials than plastic?

Main material of UBLO is plastic because of its transparency and thermal performance. More specifically, Polycarbonate of high resistance is used for UBLO. Aluminium or glass UBLO are planned to produce in the coming years for the application for
the interior or the place in mild climate.

Is UBLO window noiseproof?

Basic plastic UBLO has acoustic performance equivalent to that of single glazing unit. In a place where exterior noise is problematic,
laminated glass unit with acoustic PVB layer and Ublo with timber cover are recommended.
